Addition of Kirk O'Brien

Licensed Architect since 1987, long-time member in good standing of the American Institute of Architects, and very active in local chapter leadership.
Graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1983, focusing primarily on Institutional/ Educational and Commercial projects, and Multi- and Single Family Residential work. Experienced in disaster response gained in the 2003 San Diego County Wildfires and crafting the subsequent recovery programs provided by the San Diego chapter in the following year, selected to participate in the re-writing of the American Institute of Architects California Council Disaster Response Manual, and then appointed for a three-year term on the AIA National Disaster Assistance Committee, which is currently in the process of developing a national response program for local and regional components of the AIA.
Trained and Certified in the State of California’s Office of Emergency Services “Safety Assessment Program” as a Disaster Services Worker/ Building Safety Evaluator.

Starting January 3, 2013 we will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays our office will remain closed. We hope these new hours will make it more convenient for both our regular and new customers.

Addition of Stephen Kirby

S.C. Wright Construction, Inc. announces the addition of Stephen Kirby as Estimator to the SC Wright Team. Mr. Kirby has over 11 years experience in construction, purchasing, estimating, managing all different types of residential projects and finish carpentry. As a Field Forman he managed high rise projects in downtown San Diego. His experience lies in estimating commercial projects, writing design build plans for commercial door frames and hardware. Mr. Kirby is a certified forklift instructor.

Mrs. Souza has over 15 years experience as a Executive Assistant for Accounting, Property Management and Finance Firms. Providing high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions. Mrs. Souza is certified in Adult/Pediatric CPR, First Aid and AED through the American Red Cross.

Project Manager. Mr. Morgan has over 20 years experience as a general contractor, designer, and
consultant for residential and commercial construction projects in Oregon and
California. Mr. Morgan holds a BA degree from the University of Oregon and a JD degree from
the University of San Diego. Mr. Morgan maintains an active California Bar license and holds General
Contractor licenses in California and Oregon.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach

Matthew Sams, Vice President; and Mike Maxwell, Project Manager obtained their
OSHA 30-Hour safety certifications. The Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established minimum
safety criteria for employers and employees with specific emphasis in the
construction industry. The certification covers construction activities with respect to scaffolding,
ladders, electrical power tools and use of personal protection equipment (PPE)
among other topics. Steven Wright, President obtained both his 10-hour and 30-hour certificates in
2010.
